Conversation with the sailors

A phone conversation with the intrepid voyagers of the bounding main
this morning revealed that they are making very good speed today --
almost 12 knots under sail. While we all doubt that speed can be
maintained over the remaining few days before reaching port --
especially due to some of the rough weather they may see -- it does
make it most likely that they will arrive at Pillar Point Harbor
sometime on Friday instead of on Saturday.

A couple people have indicated that they may want to be on hand for
the arrival. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you
directions, if necessary, and do my best to keep you informed of their
ETA.

And the plans are firming up for a small casual get together (which
will include birthday cake -- Kelly is 31 today!) at the Dutch Goose
in Menlo Park about noon on Sunday.
