Samadhi V is still motor sailing along towards Pillar Point Harbor at Princeton by the Sea near Half Moon Bay, California.  They are presently about 1000 miles directly west of Fort Bragg, CA.

The good news is that they are making good their planned schedule with fairly calm seas.  Another week should see them in port.

The bad news is that the northeast Pacific high pressure area (NEPHPA) has continued to to move further east.  The NEPHPA is the center of the calm seas and light winds.  During the last three days, the NEPHPA has moved from near Samadhi's turning point to its present location.  It is now forecast to move a few hundred more miles to the east and then begin moving south on about Thursday.  This portends more light winds for Samadhi.

You can also see Hurricane Felicia in the lower part of the picture now moving directly westward toward Hawaii.  Remnants of tropical storm Enrique can also be seen, but that storm has pretty much dissipated now.  Neither storm will be a factor in Samadhi's passage to California.

Some of us are planning to be at Pillar Point Harbor to welcome the sailors when they arrive.  Kathy hopes to be able to serve refreshments.

Best regards,
Pat
