I'm trying to simulate a wind farm using Suzlon S-90 wind turbines and
a Utility Financing Model (leveraged partnership flip) in SAM
2001.6.30 version. Under Wind Farm Specification I could only find a
model for SAM/Large Scale Wind Turbine Library/S88 and not S90. Is
there a way to edit the S88 file. I could not find the text files for
the library. Mainly I need to change the Rotor Diameter.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Kumar,

You can add a turbine to the library using the library editor. To do
so, on the File menu, click Libraries, and then click Help for
instructions.

The basic steps for adding a turbine to the large-scale wind library
are:

1. Click New User Library.

2. Type a name for the library (like "Suzlon Turbines").

3. In the Libraries list, scroll to the end and click the library you
just created, e.g., USER/Suzlon Turbines.

4. Click Add Entries.

5. Check the S88 turbine to create a copy in your library.

6. Modify the parameters in the table. (To modify the turbine name,
right-click the row header and click Rename.)

7. Click Close.

8. On the Wind Farm Specifications page, your turbine should be in the
turbine list with the prefix "USER/".

If you want to make the turbine available in more than one SAM file,
then use the Library Editor to export the library. In each file that
you want to use the library, open the Library Editor and import the
library.

Best regards,
Paul.
