Base Case Cashflow

On the base case cashflow are you able to get data on Energy (kWh),
Energy Price ($/kWh), and Energy Value ($) month to month or only year
by year? Also are you able to select different start dates?

Hello,

SAM's financial model calculates annual cash flows, so the only data
available on the cash flow table are annual.

However, you can use the Tabular Data Browser to display tables of
energy values and revenue by month. To do so, on the Results page,
click Tabular Data Browser, and then under Output Variables, click
Monthly Data to expand the list of variables that have monthly values.
Check each variable that you would like to show in the table. You can
export data from the table using the buttons in the taskbar above the
table.

For projects with utility or commercial PPA pricing, SAM assumes a
fixed PPA price, which does not vary by month. You can show a table of
revenue by month in the Tabular Data Browser, although the naming of
variables is a little confusing. If the project is based on a fixed
PPA price, any of the variables with a label beginning "First Year
TOD..." will show monthly values. If you use one of these financing
options with payment allocation factors, you can show monthly revenue
earned in each time-of-delivery (TOD) period. (The payment allocation
factors are a set of multipliers that apply to the PPA price based on
a time-of-delivery schedule.)

Note that these monthly revenue values are Year 1 values. If your
analysis involves annual power price escalation rates, monthly
revenues in out years would be adjusted by the escalation rate (and
are not shown in the Tabular Data Browser).
