Hi All,

I am new to System Advisory Model and wanted to know if we can add
component information to the database that is built into the software.

I see not all modules and inverters are available in the database and
so would like to know if the other modules can be added into it.

Thank you,
SunPower

Hi,

The Beta version of SAM includes an option to specify modules using
data typically provided on manufacturer specification sheets. You can
download the Beta version at sam.nrel.gov.

Also, please note that SAM is the System Advisor Model, not System
Advisory Model.

Best regards,
Paul.

You should also note that there are multiple module databases within SAM (one associated with the Sandia Module model and a separate and more extensive database associated with the CEC module). Please make sure you check both lists of modules for the one you are searching for. The SAM team works closely with the CEC to make sure that whatever they have characterized is in SAM shortly after being available via CEC tools.
