Hi
I made a parameter simulation for a CSP and a PV plant based on
ambient temp.
I get lower energy outputs for the PV plant, but for the CSP i get a
little improvement.
does anybody wonder why? any idea how to chek it?
thanks

CSP based on the Rankine Cycle rejects its waste heat at the ambient
temperature. The lower it is the greater the delta_T for the cycle
calculation. Of course the SAM model computes greater parasitic
losses from the fluid loop too... The real question is where does the
slope of the lines cross? Sorry, more questions probably wasn't what
you were after.

First of all sorry, I meant "I get lower energy outputs for the PV
plant as the temperature rises, but for the CSP i get a little
improvement."

And yes, I am totally right with your exposition, in fact what i
should have asked is:
any idea how to compare the losses curves and the output curve?
i will inform you if I reach some interesting point. (referring to
cross of curves, but also a figurative point xD )

and thanks!
