Dear Salvus-group,

When greating my own meshes using StructuredGrid2D
I am wondering how I have to fill the element_type array correctly?

Normally it is set to 1, however on some edges it is set to 2,
but I don't understand the reasoning and why it is needed.
Can it also have different values than 1 or 2?
Looking forward for your comments!

Thanks! Felix

Agai, now including the list:

Dear Felix,

for salvus, this is actually not used, but we also use the mesher for AxiSEM3D, where this field determines how the mapping to the reference element is done.

I kind of want to refactor it into a standard elemental field, but did not yet get around it. Anyway, nothing you should worry about.

Cheers,
Martin
