[announce] Salve 2.0 alpha1

I have just built 2.0 alpha1 version of Salve.

The big change in this version is the introduction of a generic AOP
framework. See here for a quick example: http://code.google.com/p/salve/wiki/CreatingAspects2

what's the benefit of using this approach vs. using eg. AspectJ directly?

not having to have two instrumentors for a single project is really
the only advantage. if you are already using another aspect framework
then you will find salve's aop support straight forward but more
limited - at least as far as expressing pointcuts.
