Thereis an irregularity in the electrical current being supplied to the washer. A PF (Power Failure) Error will also occur if the power went out before the washer powered itself off (such as an outage), the washer getting unplugged, or if the circuit breaker trips. Models that are not in their country of origin may display this error code because power grids and their regulations vary between countries.

The washer has detected an over-sudsing condition and will stop for a short period to allow the suds to dissipate. The cycle will automatically continue afterwards, although the code may flash again at the end of the cycle as a reminder.

The current load in the washer is unbalanced inside the tub. A Ur code (Unbalanced Load Retry) means the washer is going to try to add more water, try to balance the load, and then try the spin cycle again. This will extend the length of the cycle. A Ur code does not mean that there is an issue with your washer, it's just there to tell you what's happening.

Calibration mode is used to recalibrate the weight detection of the washer. Weight detection is used to adjust the water amount used per cycle. It's a step typically performed at the very end of installation.

Calibration mode will rotate the tub or drum back and forth for 1-3 minutes and then end by itself. However, Calibration mode will not calibrate correctly unless the washing machine is empty. If there is something in the washing machine, remove it and then run Calibration mode again with the washer empty, so your washer is properly calibrated. The washer is downloading an update. During the update, the controls will not respond, including the dial. Updates take about 15 minutes and the message will disappear when the update is complete. Keep the washer powered on while the download completes.

Some models of washing machines don't have a digital display, so when it's time to display an error code, they will use blinking lights instead. The combination of blinking lights determines what the code is. However, since lights may blink as part of regular use, you should really only consider this an error code if the washing machine also isn't working normally, such as stopping mid-cycle.

This is not an error. The Self Clean LED will blink after a certain number of washes. This may vary slightly between models based on the size of your washer. Although you do not need to run a Self Clean cycle immediately, we recommend that you run one at your earliest opportunity.

Other light combinations (if they are accompanied by an issue with the washer) typically relate to sensors or the electronic components in the washer reporting that they are not working correctly. Here are a few examples:

My Samsung front loader washing machine eco bubble 9.0kg has just started pausing itself partway through the cycle - no rhyme or reason and why and sometimes several times per cycle. Nothing has changed/it hasnt been moved. The only way of restarting is just to press the pause again. Is someone able to give me some advice/guidance.

I've also posted in another thread about this - with some digging about it would appear this seems to be quite a common issue on ecobubble washing machines. My washing machine keeps stopping itself with no error message - would appear Samsung would have a bit of an issue that they need to give a response to here. An expensive washing machine which is apparently of a high quality build standard should not stop working at 3 years old. I phoned them but was only offered a 25% voucher to buy a new machine or pay for an engineer to come out. Not good enough Samsung!

The local Technician came round and he said it was the level sensor was the issue. however, i have just changed it and it is still pausing. I am going to try changing the PCB if i can get my hands on one to see if that is the issue or not .. Will let you guys know once i eventually get to the bottom of it..

Please do let us know how you get on if you manage to get your hands on a replacement PCB. I'm at my wits end with mine now! And the complete silence from Samsung from what is clearly a fairly common fault judging from here, various other sites and videos on YouTube!

Hi again, OK, I changed the PCB and it seems to be working now, there is a diagnostic page, IF you hold your fingers on Spin and options then power up it will go into that page. you can then rotate the selector until you get to TST. Then press start, mine was showing a 3E2 error code, This is the motor error or motor driver, which is on the PCB. I am doing a drum clean cycle at the moment, and will update this once its finished if there are no issues.

Something else is going on with mine. It does exactly what you described, pausing randomly on any cycle with a light load but 2 pcbs, the drum + bearings and heater have all been replaced whilst under warranty and it's started doing it again a few months later but now it's out of warranty. any ideas would be welcome there's not much left of the original machine!

I have been seeing this problem on the EcoBubble, regularly stalling mid cycle with no error code. The last test was to run though on a hot - Baby - wash once, the machine has now cycled 3 times without error. My theory is that we are a little heavy with the fabric softener and this has led to a viscous build up of sludge between the fixed and rotating parts of the drum potentially blocking some of the sensors, the hot wash clears the sludge.

This is not a definitive diagnosis, I am an Engineer not working for any white goods manufacturer, but has some logic and it would be interesting to see if this assists others seeing this fault. It is a lot cheaper to try this technique and fits with being seen regularly as there is a move to low temperature washing.

MY conclusion is that these washing machines have several intrinsic design flaws which impact their durability as an appliance. I have just returned the WW80K5413UX/EU we bought 12 months ago to the reseller for a refund following 4 months of issues, i.e. erratic wash cycle duration changes, continuous spinning, 2 failed main PCBs. I have been very disappointed with Samsung as they must know the root cause of the issues but appear to be motivated only to get their service agent to swap parts until the warranty expires.

I am horrified. I spent so long researching to get a good machine and spent 550, i've had it some years but only do 1 wash every week or 2 weeks so it has not even done 300 washes and it keeps doing the same thing. I have found pages from customers regarding the same issue and the motherboard being the problem. Even engineers have said it's a common fault due to a number of reasons with the mother board and design flaws. I am absolutely disgusted that such a large company are aware of this but they are not happy to deal with it

I have no idea why it has just started doing this, it works for a few minutes on a normal cycle then just seems to stop, there are no "error messages" it just seems to freeze and doesn't carry on with the programme.

Mine is doing exactly the same and is give or take the same age. I have researched the web and there appear to be many doing exactly the same. A repair man said its to do with the electronics and the panel will need changing. Cost from Samsung 250 plus labour. It looks like Samsung have some quality control issues. A 10 year warrenty on the motor is no good if everything elses goes wrong. Less then two years!!!!! He also said obtaining the part took a long time 2 to 3 weeks. He said buy a Bosch or a Meile.

We have had the same problem not once but twice and again the darn thing is playing up again . Each time they change the mother board and it works ok but then starts playing up ours is just over two years old . Sorry samsung you make great phones but are really crap on washing machines . These machines arn,t cheap to buy and i thought i was buying a quality machine how wrong i was .

Ours is yet another Ecobubble that randomly stops mid-cycle. If you press go, it then keeps going but it means that we have to stay at home while the washing is on. Needless to say, the guarantee has just run out. 2 and a third years doesn't seem like good reliability for a 500 washing machine.
