Subject: Coop Owners
Hello All,
First I just want to remind everyone that the Tour de Coops is this Saturday, June 26th from 10 am - 2 pm. I just want to make sure everyone is ready for the Tour I will be attaching some information to this email that I would like everyone to read. There is basic what to expect on the tour info, who Wasatch Community Garden is info, a waiver of liability that everyone needs to sign, and a photo permission waiver that I would like everyone to sign also. If there is anything that you have questions or concerns about please feel free to contact me via email or phone. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Also, if you don't have a way to print out the information that needs to be signed I would be happy to bring a printed version by when I bring the Coop Owner kits. Just let me know if you would like me to do so.
I should be bringing everyone the foot baths, signage and picking up the signed forms on Thursday. If you will not be around between the hours of 12 - 5 please let me know where you would like me to put your kits, and where you will be leaving your liability waivers for me to pick up.
We are in the process right now of arranging the volunteers to be at the Tour stops (your houses). So will each of you let me know a definite yes or no, whether you need a volunteer stationed at your house. I know that a lot of you didn't think it would be necessary, so if everyone can tell me one way or the other as soon as possible I will start letting you know who to expect.
I know that I had mentioned to some of you that we were trying to put together a coop owner BBQ this year, so all the participants could get together and chat about their coops and exchange chicken information. It looks like that probably won't be happening this year, due to summer schedules being so tight for everyone. I am trying to get a yahoo! group setup so that Coop Owners from the Tour and around SLC can have a forum to exchange ideas, information, photos, coop designs, etc.
Finally, I want to say thank you again to all of you for participating. We have been experiencing a overwhelming and positive response to this year's Chicken Week events, and it really wouldn't be possible without all of you. It looks like we will have a total of 17 coops on the tour this year, making the 5th Annual Tour de Coops the biggest yet. Again, please let me know if there are any questions or concerns I can answer, or anything I can do to help you get ready for the Tour.
Thanks Everyone! We will see you on Saturday!
