Master rejecting minion keys with auto accept

Hi all

I am using salt 2015.5.2. I have master set to auto accept. I have salt minion in my AWS autoscaling group with startup_states: highstate, when ever a new box comes up and tries to connect to master I see "The Salt Master has rejected this minion's public key!" in minion logs.

Not sure, whats going on. I double checked that auto_accept is True on master.

Can someone please help me here to understand what's going wrong.

If you run salt-key on the master, are there any keys listed under 'denied keys ' ?

Keys can be denied if new minions attempt to use an existing minion id with a different (new) key.

Have you restarted salt-master after auto_accept option was added? Master doesn't pick up configuration runtime.
