I'm brand new to Salt Stack and am having some trouble getting a salt master installed. I followed the directions listed for Ubuntu (https://docs.saltstack.com/en/latest/topics/installation/ubuntu.html) then attempted to update my system (apt update && apt upgrade). It looks like Ubuntu 16.04 doesn't like the PPA since it does not have 'Release file'.

Is there a way to configure the PPA so I can update securely? In reading the 'apt-secure' manpage, I ran across this: "In the future APT will refuse to work with unauthenticated repositories by default until support for them is removed entirely."

Console output from apt update:
=======================

rion@salt-master:~$ sudo apt update

Hi Rion,
Try this link instead, https://repo.saltstack.com/#ubuntu. It is mentioned in the link you referenced, but it's easy to miss.

That did the trick, thanks!
