Hello Shane,

The release notes of this release say "No significant changes." Then what was the point of the release? Could these "insignificant" changes have waited until there was more significant stuff to include into a release?

You can compare releases to see all the changes committes between two versions on GitHub: https://github.com/saltstack/salt/compare/v3006.22...v3006.23

3006.23 fixes a regression on Windows minions: https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/66225

It was a special release to address an issue with the Windows installer. So there were no changes to the Salt codebase, just the installer code.
