Looks like the spamming jerks are increasing.

Can you set membership to require approval?

Can you delete the spammers membership and delete the crap posts?

Yes I can and do delete messages and users. I also ban them.

When one pops up I usually take care of it.

I have left one particular spammer because he is always "biker related".
However his last email was about all I could handle. However I don't think
it is my place to delete a user because I disagree with someone's opinion so
I left it alone.

I could require approval if we think it is necessary.

If I have missed a post send me a link. I know there is one that came the
other day that I have not gotten to.
