to Salseros de Arcata
I heard the rumor from Emma that the Dancenter was in ownership
transition. This morning I went by Threadbear and Shea Freelove told
me that the Dancenter was in debt and had to be closed down.
I hope anyone who knows more details can post a them here, so we can
know the situation better and help in whatever way we could.....
Dancenter had been a great resource for many dance classes (hip hop,
samba, West African, Tuesday night swing and other events). It will be
a shame to lose it, especially after Ballet Arcata was forced to move
to Blue Lake (poor Linda) and Muddy's Hot Cup was forced to postponed
(based on one neighborhood complain) all music event.
Can anyone give us dancers and musicians some hopes in the town,
instead of taking them away?
