Hey Everyone!

There was not much to update you on concerning my Wednesday meeting with Mr. Whitman.   But, I am hosting the first ever annual meeting of the SALSA student action committee in my room tomorrow, Friday, October 28, 2011 - at lunch.   I have invited all my kids, please pass the word on to any of your classes.  We will be meeting every Friday at lunch to discuss issues that the students are having on campus, things they want to see changed before semester 2 in January and long term changes for next year.   I will be offering service hours as well as an eventual Service Learning Project - details yet to be ironed out....

Service hours are not just for showing up for the meeting.... part of tomorrow's agenda is to discuss what the students can be doing on campus to help inform and facilitate healthy dialogue among students....somewhere in that is where the community service hours lie...

Please tell your students - all are welcome, student and teacher!
