Salop Hackspace doesn't exist as a hackerspace per se -
all activity is via the LUG, and I've CCed in John Alexander
who'll know more about what's happening down there.

Alternatively, if your friend is nearer to Newcastle-under-Lyme
than Shrewsbury, there's a 3D printer at Potteries hackspace:
