Draft Paper to be Shared at Local Foods Group Meeting 5/23 -- Please Review!

At the Salmon Local Foods meeting a week from today, Thursday, May 23, we'll invite retail food establishments, outfitters, and anyone who serves food to the public to hear the information we gathered last summer about the legality of using local produce. We've drafted a paper to present and we've invited Glenn Hugunin to attend, but he may not because our meeting is after his workday. Regardless, we'll circulate the paper to Glenn and the other regulators we talked with last summer to make sure we captured the information correctly.

I would very much appreciate it if some of you could read this paper closely and make sure we are addressing the major concerns of growers and consumers in the County.

We are working on a flyer to distribute to local businesses so they can come to the meeting. We'll email that to you all as soon as it is available and please feel free to share w/ anyone. We'll also do a press release for Lemhi Web, the Recorder Herald, and KSRA.
