Dear SALMON Development Team,

I am a new user currently trying to install SALMON-v2.2.1 by following
the instructions provided on your official website:
https://salmon-tddft.jp/webmanual/current/html/install_and_run.html

However, I encountered an error related to mpiifort.

The error message suggests a problem with the MPI Fortran compiler,
which appears to be located at:

/opt/intel/oneapi/mpi/2021.15/

To set up the environment, I installed the following Intel OneAPI
toolkits:

intel-oneapi-base-toolkit-2025.1.0.651_offline.sh

intel-oneapi-hpc-toolkit-2025.1.0.656_offline.sh

After installation, I ran the recommended command:

source /opt/intel/oneapi/setvars.sh intel64

This setup was suggested in a reply to another user on the User
Community Forum.

Additionally, I am using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) on Windows
10, and the SALMON source code is located in the /mnt/c/ directory.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

Best regards
Amr Farrag

Dear Amr Farrag-san,

The mpiifort compiler seems to be not working. Could you check your environment again?

The version of the compiler can be checked by the following command:

$ mpiifort --version

Also, pls could you try to compile a test program such as the hello world via mpiifort?

Sincerely,

Shunsuke
