Dear Salmon developers and users,
I am wondering whether one can applied a static electric field in salmon. In many dft packages, one may apply a static electric field in the non-periodic direction of low-dimensional systems like 2d layer or 1d nanoribbons. So I'm curious whether we can do this in salmon and if we can, can it be used together with the lase pulse?
Thank you very much!
Rui
Dear Rui,
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, an option of the static electric field has not been implemented in SALMON yet. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are making an effort to improve our code.
Sincerely,
Shunsuke
