Salmon-Challis Trails Volunteer Day
Saving the best for last, let's kick off the summer season with a volunteer trail maintenance day up Williams Creek! Our FS partner Ben is working with me to create a fun day of learning & trails stewardship. We'll talk about safety, trail maintenance specifications, and how you can get reimbursed by SVS for trail maintenance on Forest Service trails. And we'll get out on some trails to put our skills into practice. No prior experience needed! Please meet at the Public Lands Center by 9 am to caravan up to Williams. Bring work clothes & boots, water, and a packed lunch. We'll provide tools, extra water, and snacks.
Whew. That's a lot. Once we get through these next 2 weeks we can begin thinking about field trips and SCT meetings this summer. Open to ideas of what you'd like to see!
Best,
Kate
