The Bureau of Land Management and the Youth Employment Program are organizing a CDT trail work day on September 27th which also happens to be National Public Lands Day!
The BLM and YEP have been working all summer on building more dedicated non-motorized singletrack CDT south of Lemhi Pass with the help of YEP's mini-excavators. After they go through and get the main trail cut with the machines, it still requires some hand
tool work to finish the tread, which is where the volunteers would be helping out. If you are interested in volunteering that day please reply back to me so I can get a head count to help with shuttle and lunch logistics for the day. For those interested I
will be sending out more specific information about the day with the where, when, etc. Also please forward this to anyone else you think might be interested in volunteering on the CDT for National Public Lands Day.
If you have any questions please feel free to get a hold of me. Thank you!
