She is amazing! It appears that the surgery did all that we had hoped it would do - she is up and about again, anf full of energy. Just the other day Rocio (the pastor Alberto's wife and Elsa's daughter in law for those of you who don't know who Rocio is) and I were noting how different Elsa is these days, she walks faster, holds herself higher - I guess we just hadn't noticed before how weary she was but we can sure see the difference now! Thanks for all your prayers - the Lord has blessed us with more time with Elsa and with her in great health.

I talked with his wife Olga on Tuesday and she said Carlos wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. She says he is doing well. One thing we can pray about is his son Brian who wants to see his dad! Whenever Olga goes to see Carlos, Brian begs and begs to go with her, says he can just stand by the fence to get a glimpse of his dad since he can't go in! Carlos was taken away on Brian's birthday and on that day Brian had said the only thing he wanted for his birthday was to sleep with his parents (a cultural thing, very normal!) But, he didn't get his wish! On July 26th he has an appointment with a psychologist who will determine whether or not Brian can visit his dad. Pray that the Dr. will say yes!!

I had a good talk with her just the other day and she is doing remarkably well. She looks wonderful and one would never know what she is going through. She continues to be very positive. Her anemia is in control and she has an appointment on July 21st to get blood work done again to make sure she is okay and her defenses are up. In mid August she will see the Oncologist to determine her treatment program. She did share the issue with her husband, after MUCH coaching from Grace - they told him together. He responded in the best way possible and he will be there right by her side through everything. Please pray that God will heal her body of the cancer and allow Jesi to stay with us for years to come. She is loaded with so much talent and zest for life and now that she has come to Christ, she is so full of His Spirit and wants to do so much for His glory! She has such a heart for women who have been abused and addicted to drugs and I know God can use her testimony to help them! She wants to help at the Rehab center once she graduates from the program in 6 weeks!

I am looking for flights daily now, hoping to find something reasonable which will allow me to get to Chicago. I am amazed at how much the prices have gone up since last summer! I wasn't expecting such a rise! But, my God is good and I am trusting to be able to see my family and friends which is my heart's desire. I will get a ticket as soon as I can find one that is within my limits. I am hoping to be in NY by the end of this month and before that as well as afterward, spend time in the Chicago and maybe Indianapolis area. We shall see what God has planned for me! My only obligation is to seek him with all my heart!!
