This dear girl has had some problems of late and she needs your prayer!  (See June 2nd blog to see her photo)  For reasons unknown to us (and probably to Yesenia as well!) she went back to the streets last week end.  The only thing we could piece together is that she went for counseling with her husband last Friday.  From what we hear from the husband, the session went quite well.  But then, she disappeared for the rest of the week end and didn't show up for church on Sunday, nor work on Monday.  Last night a team went out to her old hang out on the street and were told she was there, but the team was unable to make contact with her.  They went again this morning, and, thank God, they found her and she agreed to come back to the center.  She doesn't even seem like the same girl that went with me last Thursday to San Jose to pick up a meat donation for the center.  On Thursday she was her usual cheerful self, commenting on how good her life was and how she never, ever wanted to go back to the nightmare she had lived before entering the center.  She completed the program and graduated in mid August but actually waited to celebrate her graduation at church until I got back!  It was important to her that I share the day with her.  My heart breaks for her - pray that she will accept the Lord's forgiveness and that she will allow Him to totally heal her and give her hope for the future.  As can be imagined, her husband & kids are also very disappointed - pray that they will be forgiving with her also.  The other interns at times are very cruel with those who return after falling like this - pray that God will not permit this to happen.  We all had a meeting today to discuss how to deal with Yesy and they were given some very good advice on how to be more like Jesus when they talk to her, how to accept her.  Please pray that this will happen as God wills.  This sweet gal has a very special place in my heart and she knows it.  Pray that I will be sensitive to how the Lord may want to use me in her healing, if that is what He desires.

Now that the name Ysey has a face in my mind my gut reacted like yours.  I will pray for her too.  What triggred this?  Does she talk about it?  Do you spend more time at the center to help them all get through this disappointment?  Who were the people in the "team" that went out looking for her?  Who was giving the "good advice" to the interns?  Do the girls pray for each other regularly as part of the program to help them all?  James 5:13-16 gives us such good instruction for this.

See..... You have got me hooked on the girls at the center!  Give them my love and tell them I am praying for them too.

Love, Kay
