...at the women's center have me in some turmoil.  I can blame in on my age, I guess, as I am told that the older one gets the harder it is to accept change.  Actually, most changes don't get to me, but the loss of Grace as director of the women's center has been tough.  I know in my heart of hearts that it was time for her to leave - she was there for almost 6 years and did it with all her heart.  She had just run the course and it was time for her to rest.  We do have a new director - please pray for Geaninnna (pronounced Janina) who is a darling, sweet, God-loving young lady who has a degree in psychology and is so well equipped for the position.  The issue right now, though, is that she spends most of her time at the men's center due to a legal issue with the government.  Hopefully this will be resolved soon so she can be with the women full time.  We do have a great lady (Anna)  who comes to the center from 1pm to 5pm Monday through Friday. This means the girls are alone from 5pm til 1pm the next day and from Friday at 5pm through Monday at 1 pm no one is there with them.  I am trying to spend as much time as possible with them, but, man, it is tough!  They are so hard to manage - they are demanding, belligerent at times, anxious at best.  Last Saturday I was there for just four hours and it left me totally wasted!  Just dispensing meds was such a trial!!  Thank God, some of the girls who have been there for 4 months or more are hanging in there I think they are going to make it to graduation.  But, they are not treating the new girls very well and as a result many of the new ones are not lasting long - some less than 2 days!  They claim they are having devotions at 8am but I know this is not happening; the cleanliness of the house has gone from a 10 to a 6; they are not keeping with the program while there is no one there which is understandable as many of them come to us directly from the streets.  So, please pray that the Lord will provide for the center, that if Geaninna can't come on board full time within the next couple weeks, that the Lord will provide the funds for someone to be there from 8 to 5 at least during the week.  I love this part of the church at CCA (I love that Alberto never calls the centers or the feeding center as ministries of the church - he says they ARE the church!!)  and I want to see it succeed.  Not only will the women in the center be affected, but so will generations after them, as you can well understand.  Please keep this in your prayers!!
