Ok guys,

One proposal from Ana is to make an YE for photography since a lot of us are interested.
One of our "trainers" could be Dragos :p, and if he dont accept I know some good experts for photography.
If you agree, we can choose the place where to do the YE and start to write the project.
I am waiting for your feedback!!!!

Hugsssss

Hello all,

I loved the idea of an youth exchange about photography and I think it's perfectly doable.

Like everything, it really depends how you write the application and your aims and objectives are. It cannot just be "let's all gather together and take photos of everyone and everything", as I am pretty sure you all are aware of this.

After 5 minutes of thinking about this I remembered one activity that was very successful in my previous ONG in Portugal.

That activity consisted in a photo "contest" where the main purpose was to picture and frame different problems in local community: social problems, environmental, gender, age differences, and also normal beautiful pictures like landscape, sunset etc. In the end it was always made a local exhibition in the community so everyone can see.

We can adapt this where the participants try to picture and show local (in the place where the youth exchange is) as also to picture some problems in their own country and try to compare them. We can introduce here the normal topics of YiA: stereotypes, prejudices, social differences, inter cultural differences and learning, non-formal education etc.

I really think this idea about photography can go on and I am getting excited. What do you think? Let's have some brainstorming and ideas now. :D

Tiago, everyone,

Should we also add a topic about crisis’ impact on the participating countries/NGOs and how effects can be prevented/minimized?

This will surely draw some people’ attention J

And of course, at least once a day we can all gather together and take photos of everyone and everything :D

Cheers J

Yes, Yes, Yes!
Me soooooo happyyyyyy!
I agreeee!

Dragos, u see, we didn't have time in Salihli to do some workshop about pshotography, but we can have one exchange about it!
yepie!

And Tiago, I like your Idea. The topic can be-Social differences seen through participants' cameras =) or so.... =)

Ok, we have 2 ideas now, so we can maybe wait  a week more, maybe someone else will come up with some new idea, and than to vote-whether to take Sport or Photography Idea =) or, maybe, something else,
After that, to enlarge our idea =) to brainstorm and see all of the options we have...
and, at the end... to make a deal if we altogether are going to write the application (which is not so good) or to make a group to do that...

=)

A.
