Does anyone know the name of this legendary, lovable character from Saligao? And his background? Did you encounter him as a schoolkid? What was the colour of the clothes he wore?

- Frederick Noronha As for me, my experience was different (but then I lived almost on the same road as he did). I thought it pretty mean of the boys... as he kept his 'soup' (bamboo basket) before him, and raised his head to deliver the finer philosophical points of his 'sermon', the youngsters would fill his soup with stones and more stones :-)
