APPEAL FOR FUNDS BY SALIGAO INSTITUTE FOR  RENOVATION Of BUILDING

Introduction. The Saligao Club was inaugurated on St Cajetan’s Feast Day in August 1929. The Founders of this Institute were three stalwarts of Saligao,          Mr. Vitorinho Saldanha, Mr. Jose Souza Cordeiro and Mr. Rudolph D’Souza, were the generous pioneers who initially invested money to put up the building. God bless them for their foresight and generosity, as Saligao now has a Club House to flaunt.   

Almost a year ago, our last President, Mr. Jorge Carvalho passed way suddenly and with his passing away the institute doors were locked and the institute lay in disuse. Recently a team consisting of Mrs. Isa Vaz as Vice President, Miss Mr. Cyril Cordeiro as Treasurer and Miss Assumtina Cordeiro General Secretary and a few other members formed an Executive Committee under me as President. We have been attempting to bring back the life and cheer to the Institute and cheer up the village and have organized a few functions successfully. We are planning to have functions for the youth, regular games and competitions, story- telling and library facilities, including children’s functions, whist drives, socials and Hops. 

.Funds Required. We need your help and assistance to renovate, revive and put the Institute on the rails again, so that it once again becomes the greeting and meeting place for all members. We need Replacement of wiring for an estimated Rs 40,000/- only, repairs to leaking roof (waterproofing)estimate Rs 50,000/- only, repairs to windows, wooden furniture, fixtures Rs. 10,000/- and Painting of building walls and internal Walls. Contributions may please be sent to our Bank of India account No. 101010100000067.                        .

These will be acknowledged by post and on the Saligao net. Thanking you in anticipation for your generosity and kindness to your village Institute which is a Pillar of strength of our Village. Let’s do it.

Is the fund a registered charity? If so,  is there a reference number?
