An evening of Mando at the Saligao Institute

Mandeachi Sanz, an evening of mando, will be held at the Saligao Institute on December 27, 2019 (Friday) from 6 pm onwards. Tomazinho and Irene Cardozo will be the chief guest.

Nicholas Sequeira will introduce the mando theme. There will be performances by the Mando Mogui (adults, traditional) led by Merlyn Francis; the Saligao Mando Rockers (children's, traditional) led by Vallon and Alia Fernandes, Salganvche Songita Ixtt (traditional) led by Simon Fernandes and directed by Orland Vaz with Rebecca on violin, Ruth on guitar and Divesh on the ghumot.

This will be followed by the felicitation of mando trainers Clara Sequeira, Nina Monteiro Mendonça, Philomena D'Souza,  Nicholas Sequeira, Diego Fernandes.

The Saligão Village Community will present Sobit Saligão. This original mando composed by Estaquinho Mistir and Fr. Roberto Vaz in the 1970s. The evening will end with a spontaneous sing-along of mandde and dulpodam by all.
