No JV Game; Practice This Week; Picnic on Wednesday; Subaru 7's; After this week

Hello state championship winners and family,

No JV Game

Sorry about how late this is, but I just heard back from Coventry's coach.  Well, after 4 emails of not so kind style he finally said he is waiting to hear from his parents still.  At that point I put an end to it and to the 15's season.

There is no JV specific game this week or for the rest of 2014.

Practice this Week

Practice this week is only on Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:30 to 5:30, w/ a one way bus to Alapocas.

It is a 7's practice that is ONLY for those who are playing this weekend, at Subaru 7's.  Any player may play in the Subaru 7's if they'd like, but there is no guarantee how much you will play for Sallies.  You would get at least a half (unless 50 kids decide to come play), and there should be more playing opportunities for other teams that need extra players (I encourage you to get as much playing time as possible, regardless who it is for). 

If you are not sure if you are playing this weekend, you should practice this week.  For juniors going to prom, it is very rewarding to play lots of rugby in the hot sun w/ no sleep.  You can sleep under the tent between games.  If you really don't want to play, that is fine.

If you are not planning to play this weekend, please do not come to practice b/c you will be in the way. 

Subaru 7's Tournament; 

• Location: Alapocas Run State Park
• Kickoff:  early! Possibly 9:00.  Continues until around 4:30.
• Transportation:   
  • All players are welcome to play in this tourney (varsity and JV, back or forward, fast or slow, fat or slim, great or terrible).
  • We will have at least two teams registered.  If there is enough interest we will put in 3.  Be at practice on Tuesday if you are interested in playing. If you cannot make Tuesdays practice but can definitely play on Saturday let me know by 12:00 noon on Tuesday.
  • If you are tired from prom or cannot be there all day, you can still play on Saturday. You just have to let me know.

After This Week

Amazing as it sounds, after this week we are in HSRC mode which means you must be invited to participate in practice.  We will be getting ready for the big tourney in Philly which offers the chance of playing inside PPL Park in front of the big crowd.

More details will be out about this but if you are free on Friday, May 30 (graduation day), it is free to attend.  The rest of the weekend is college games in the stadium and that is a real treat as well.  There are not too many big rugby events in this area and you should see every one you get a chance to.
