BAD NEWS!!!; This Week's practice; JV Game; State Tourney; Picnic

Hello everyone,

Bad News

I have some bad news and some worse news.  In no particular order, Jacob Biedermann's teeth are not as tough as you'd expect, and the Shanahan game is cancelled!  I don't know what to say...about either bit of information.

This means that the 15's season is over for the varsity.  3 years ago we ended the season with a tie against Shanahan and we all said it was the stupidest way to end a season.  I guess we were wrong, a cancellation is the stupidest way for it to end.  With our picnic next Wednesday and their state tournament progressing their just doesn't seem to be anywhere to fit a game in.  We can talk about it tomorrow.

This Week's practice

JV will have 15's practice on Tuesday preparing for their game on Wednesday.  Thursday is up in the air for now.

Varsity will begin 7's practice on Tuesday.  Since Wednesday is no longer a game day for them we will have video, chalk, and fitness at Sallies.  Thursday we will continue our 7's education in preparation for states.

JV Game

The smoked LaSalle today at Stanton and hope to finish their season in style w/ a repeat on Thursday against Coventry.  Their is a one way bus and kickoff is at 5:00.

State Tourney

States are this Saturday in Smyrna beginning at 11:00.  There is a round trip bus.  Times to be released later this week.

Picnic

Don't forget our team picnic is next Wednesday at Brandywine Springs Park.  Everybody is invited; players, parents, sisters, dogs (maybe?), people you feel sorry for, etc.  Last year, by some mix up, there were only players attending.  That left more food for us but the more the merrier.  Please come if you want.
