Regarding dependency between fields for 2 record types

Hi all,

1. In case object, there are 3 record types.I want field dependency between 2 fields Type and Area for 2 record types and no field dependency between Type and Area Fields  for the 3rd record type.Is it possible.

2. There are 2 fields Area(Controlling) and SubArea(Depending). LOVs for Area and SubArea are different for 3 record types except some Area LOVs are same for all record types

    For those same field Area LOVs ,SubArea LOVs are different.How we can accomplish this one
