Hi,

I have currently an issue when deploying a package.xml with ant Migration tool.It gives me an error.

Error: cannot deploy installedpackage in package manifest with any other types.

I tried two solutions
1. I change the version from 28 to 27 and tried it - did not work
2. I searched for any Installed package in the package.xml - there was no installedpackage in the package.xml at all.

My company has a policy of deploying components only through Ant Migration tool.

Any ideas/Solutions will be highly appreciated.

My source sandbox has been updated with winter 14 but my target sandbox is with summer 13.

Thanks

Hi Ravi,

I Guess, You need to install package components in target organization through package url only.

We can not deploy package related components through force.com IDE / ANT Tool.

Nara,

I think he is trying deploy things through ANT.

Make sure that all the classes you are deploying are in Prod version.

Hi Ravi can you share the package.xml here which will help to understand . Also did you deploy this to any other sandbox which is on winter 14?

Hi all,

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, I figured out that it was the IDE version which is creating the problem, I had the latest version V28 which was the culprit, and v27 or lower is just working fine for deployments and validations.

Thanks
