Hi all,

I was going to divy up my kasu with some for cooking, some for beer brewing, and then some for my fiance to experiment with in making beauty products. This last point is the one I am curious about.

I know kasu has been used in beauty products and can be used as a facemask but its advised to put on sunscreen first because the kasu has alcohol in it. Here's my question:
-Could I just remix the kasu with some some water, boil off the alcohol, and then re-separate the kasu from water to get alcohol-free kasu for my fiance to use? I am really wondering about the chemistry here and if boiling it ruins its benefits as a beauty product--whatever those might be (its her thing, not mine, so I am really unsure what the benefits of kasu is in beauty products but I do know this is a common use)

What are some of your most common uses of the kasu?

Thanks!
Tyler
