Hi,

I am Avinash Parida , undergraduate final year from DAIICT, India. I
am really interested in the Sakai CLE Mobile App Project and have
proposed by draft application. I have been already doing background
study on the Sakai 2 framework. I am also working out a raw wireframe
layout for the mobile app which i will be finishing and sharing within
next few days.

I wanted to ask that is it required for me to gain knowledge for
technologies like Spring MVC or Apache Velocity used to access core
services in CLE ?

I would also like to know where i could get more information about the
EntityBroker project and its capabilities ?
I want to start early with EB ability to retrieve data as XML or JSON
and other support.

I would like to propose the use of Sencha Touch framework in addition
to PhoneGap. Sencha Touch is licensed under free commercial and open
source licenses for application development. It is a better
alternative to JQuery Mobile and JQTouch. Sencha Touch is developed by
the same developer who created JQTouch and hence is better and
improved. I would like to discuss more upon this.

Thanks,
Avinash

Hi Avinash,

Sencha Touch looks good as well, as long as it complies with the Apple Store Terms of Service.
You won't need to need to learn Spring MVC or Velocity as it will be all web service based information you are accessing.

cheers,
Steve
