Hiring: City Bus Operations Expert – Bhopal | KPMG India

We are looking for a City Bus Operations Expert to support a key urban mobility engagement in Bhopal.
Experience: Minimum 15 years, preferably in urban bus operations and should have worked with state or city transport undertakings
Education: Master’s in Transport Planning / Urban Planning / MBA (with relevant transport sector experience)
Desired Skill Set:
- Bus Procurement: Experience in planning and managing large-scale bus procurement processes, including technical specifications, vendor management, and financial evaluation
- Route Optimisation: Designing and implementing efficient city bus routes using demand analysis, ridership patterns, and GIS-based route planning
Operations & Depot Management: Exposure to managing day-to-day city bus operations including scheduling, fleet maintenance, depot workflows, and staff coordination
- Urban Public Transport Systems: Strong understanding of city mobility patterns, service planning and operational KPIs in public bus systems
- Government Liaison & Compliance: Hands-on experience coordinating with State Transport Departments or Urban Local Bodies and understanding of transport policies and regulatory frameworks
- Technology Integration (preferred): Familiarity with ITS solutions like GPS tracking, ticketing systems and performance dashboards for public transport
