Cheesefare Sunday - Coffee Hour & Ice Cream Social

Dear St. Seraphim Family,

This Sunday is Cheesefare Sunday, the final day before we begin the Great Fast. As we prepare to enter the Fast together, this is our last day to enjoy dairy, eggs, and fish before Pascha.

We invite everyone to help make our coffee hour festive and abundant by bringing a dish to share. Traditionally, Cheesefare Sunday is also known as Blini Sunday. If you are willing to make a batch of blini (buckwheat pancakes), we would especially love for you to bring them!

This year, we will also combine our Ice Cream Social, which has traditionally taken place after Forgiveness Vespers, and serve ice cream during coffee hour. Please consider bringing ice cream to share.
