This Sunday, as our annual Lenten service project, Church School students Grades K-8 will be making hygiene kits for homeless youth and teens. This is the LAST CALL for donations of standalone hygiene items (to be put together in a “kit”).
What kind of NEW donations are needed: Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, toothbrush holder, dental floss, washcloth, comb, brush, baby wipes, baby hygiene items, face wash, etc.
Where to drop them off: Each Church School classroom has a bin where donations can be dropped off until Sunday, April 6th.
Who receives them: Hope Supply Co. who serves homeless youth and teenagers. These children and their families typically had to leave their homes without a lot of notice or with basic items. The kits our children build provide these children with something decent of their own. When the kits are dropped off, we communicate that they were made with love for their children by children at St. Seraphim.
Our average number of hygiene kits in the past have been between 80-100 kits, which currently puts us very short of the needed items. Thank you for your generosity towards this important Lenten service project and lesson.
In Christ,
The Church School Teachers
