No Vespers Wednesday & Friday

Dear Cathedral Family,

Although we have had some melting of ice and snow, the Cathedral parking lot, and the roads around the Cathedral are still not in good condition. Out of an abundance of caution we will not have Vespers or confessions this evening. In our last ice event, Fr. Chrysostom slipped and broke his wrist badly, and we want to avoid any injuries or car accidents. 

Temperatures tomorrow are supposed to get up to 58-59 degrees, and this will likely melt most of what we've received by this weekend. Please note that we had already scheduled not to have Vespers on Friday evening, as the choir will be recording that evening and Saturday morning. 

We will begin the baptisms and chrismations of ten Catechumen on Saturday at 1:30pm. Two more Catechumen will be received by chrismation on Sunday morning at 8am. 

I will be hearing confessions at 4:00pm on Saturday, and will hear them during Great Vespers. As announced earlier, our Annual Meeting will commence after Divine Liturgy on Sunday, and will be immediately followed by Festal Great Vespers with Litiya for the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord.
