Hello Everyone:
Tonight I am burning the palms from last year's Palm Sunday on a bed of wooden runes for our Lenten liturgy. I did not want everyone to miss out on an Ash Wednesday rite simply because it happens to fall on a Wednesday.
Lent is a season of living simply and letting go, so our liturgy will be simple and we will not need to bring any papers or pamphlets. Spending time with you all is enough and it is what Lent is all about.
So I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for self-examination, prayer, community, meditation and friendship.
