Updated Kitchen Campaign Total!

A note from our treasurer Becky- Thanks to your generous support, we have $50,527.30 donated or pledged to our Feed His Sheep capital campaign leaving just $2,472.70 to go!  An anonymous donor is offering a matching pledge challenge to get us to our goal. Each new pledge, donation, or increase in pledge from now through December 31 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $6,500. Examples: If you donate $100, it becomes $200. If you had pledged $1,000 and increase it to $1,250, the total donation becomes $1,500. We are so close to completing our goal.  If you haven't donated or pledged, please consider doing so.

The Trail of the Tithe

"The supreme model of giving in the New Testament was not based on ten percent, but on a hundred-percent commitment of personal resources.... We read in the Book of Acts that early believers sold all they had—both lands and houses—and brought the proceeds to the apostles, who distributed them to each according to need (Acts 4:34–35)." http://ww1.antiochian.org/trail-tithe

Food for Thought
"Rejoice, O Isaiah! The Virgin is with child,
And shall bear a son Emmanuel,
Who is both God and Man,
And Orient is His Name,
Whom magnifying we call, the Virgin blessed.

O Holy Martyrs,
who fought the good fight and have received your crowns,
Entreat ye the Lord,
That He will have mercy on our souls.

Glory to Thee, O Christ God.
The Apostles boast,
The Martyrs Joy,
whose preaching was the Consubstantial Trinity."

An Orthodox Wedding Hymn
