You might have spotted leaflets and posters appearing about the HISTORY 900 events. They are:
27 April
launch of the book on the History of St Mary's including a talk about Robert Dudley and his connections with Warwick
4 May
Nigel Saul 'Waking the dead: the secret messages of tombs'. Includes a discussion about Thomas Beauchamp and Katherine Mortimers' tomb, the (very important) brass of Thomas Beauchamp II and Margaret Ferrers, and the lost memorials of the Huggefords of Emscote
11 May
Andrew Hopper 'Warwick castle in the Civil Wars'
25 May
Andrew Graham-Dixon 'Reflections on British medieval art'. Includes an appreciation of the Beauchamp chapel from an art historian's point of view.
Tickets are available in the church now.
We've also got a website,
www.faireandgoodlybuilt.org.uk, which promotes the events but also has visitor information on it. It's a stop gap until the church's new website is developed.
A copy of the poster is below, but I'm not sure how clearly this will come out.
