Hello all
The church will be participating in the Heritage Days festival, on 10 and 11 September. There will be tours to the ringing chamber, and a pop-up café.
We're also offering tours of the church, at 12.15 and 2.15 on both days. Last time we did tried this, in 2019, we had a grand total of 0 people to show round. Nil. Nada. Rien. Hopefully it will be better this year, but I am not confident that it is worth getting additional guides in. It might be a total waste of your time.
So, on the Saturday I was proposing to cover any interest in tours from the guides who are on duty anyway, Peter and Carole. However, that plan was scuppered by Carole being on holiday that day, so I have offered to cover her Saturday afternoon shift. If anyone else wants to do it, I will gladly defer to their wishes and step aside!
As for the Sunday, I am willing to cover any demand for tours, as I live within walking distance of the church, so it's not too much of a disruption if I have a wasted journey. Again, though, if anyone would like to come on Sunday to do a couple of tours if demand requires it, then be my guest.
All the best
Tim
