Swami Namanandaji, deciple of Sadguru Gnanananda Giri.
Thanks to Sri. Karthikeyan Shankar from Chennai for giving this wonderful input, as told by Sri. Swami Namanandaji Giri.
Namaji[Namanandha giri Swamigal] told this to me when he came to know that i am a swami devotee.
- Namaji in his purvashramam was Sri.Dhandapani. He used to be very good in bhajan singing. Once his friends who were sai devotees invited him...to puttaparthi to take part in parthi mandali bhajan. Sri.Dhandapani went to sadhguru Gnanandha and took his permision to go to parthi. Sadhguru said "Nam kandippaga povom"[Sadhguru always speaks in union like "NAM" for You/I].
Happily Sri.Dhandapani went to parthi. He said the bhajans were on when they reached and Sri.Raja Reddy was leading the bhajans. When the chance came to Sri.Dhandapani's row, he hestitated to start without a nod from the lead singer. So he missed to sing. After a while swami asked all to stop and told Sri.Rajareddy to ask Sri.Dhandapani to sing. He sang many abhangs and bhajans for an hour or so and the session was over. The next day when they were about to leave, Swami picked Sri.Dhandapani for interview. Inside Swami asked him what he wanted, for which he replied saying that he is so happy with his Guru's blessings and would not want anything more. ON HEARING THIS SWAMI WAS VERY HAPPY - HE SAID "HOW MANY GURUS WILL GET DISCIPLES LIKE THIS WHO SAYS HIS GURUS GRACE IS ENOUGH". And after some talk and while he was about to start, Swami asked him to setup a meeting with Sadhguru.
Sri. Dhandapani came straight to Tapovanam and told him about Swami's message for a meeting, Sadhguru replied by saying "NAM KANDIPAGA SANTHIPOM". After taking leave, Sri.Dhandapani came back to Chennai.
Few months passed and he recieved a telegram one day from Tapovanam to come immedeatly. He rushed to Tapovanam and met Sadhguru. Sadhguru just told him that there should be a very grand welcome ceremony planned for some one VERY special tonight. He asked him to choose best veda pandits for purna kumbam and be ready after 9PM. Sri.Dhandapani did not know who was coming but he made such grand recpetion ready. At around 10.30PM a red car come to the entrance and Swami gets out of the car accepts the purna kumbam andd go straight into Sadhguru's room. The meeting itseems lasted for more than an hour and when swami left, he Patted Namaji and said very happy for his work. Nobody had a clue what was conversed inside though :-)
