Thanks Paul – noted.  It will be good to have you there if you can so you are informed properly.  Let me give a cryptic insight just in case something crops up……

I actually need inputs for EC Provincial leading possibilities like Chris Hani and Buffalo City.  Maybe there are ways to move even if budgets are so limited!  Best news is that I seem to have ownership from Patrick Ntabeni’s section.  But it is alignment linked to Water Board Oversight (Thoko Siqwaza) that might align matters to crucial sector reform levels.  Now ‘we’ (like here esp externally – Mark A, Albie K – both Ilifa, Geraldine Schoeman and Stewart Gibson) just must succeed with also approaching GIZ for (additional catalyzing) funding as then we might have national and balanced coverage to get to ‘real initial programming’…  That will then include Niel’s WR jurisdictions.  If only something can be started, the hope has to be that (down the line) government funding then becomes (more) available…

Regards,
Nigel

Hi Mark,

Noted and appreciated – yes, I am doing the best I can.  I trust that will be made clearer on Monday. But please note that it will be Asset Management ‘in disguise’ – at least I trust, ONLY externally….   For example - the universal problem is more challenges than budgets (as we all know) and “a few” other constraints.  So I am counting on a few smart heads like here too!

I trust I will see you then, but if not, I trust you can hear from your colleagues.

Nigel

Tentative pending PMU activities that will be required at some point during the day and must take priority.

Nigel, you must come with clear problem areas to be addressed in EL, together with proposed solutions.

Remember DWA is busy rolling out the AM Strategy and Guideline document through the Regional office in EC. If you have some plan or some money to bring to the table which can directly support the WSA’s in meeting their AM requirements with regards our role out then please highlight

Hope to see you on Monday
