Urgent for 20th RE: Getting some preliminary legal input

Hi,
Now confirming this appointment with all those to whom this is sent in the “To” field. Those copied are either not available and or attending the prior meeting – see below. This meeting is actually quite crucial due to basic shaping as primary inputs are now going to be made available and then be escalated to other partners. [Stewart – we can have you as optional in the hope that Mark (not intending to attend this meeting) and myself come to find you next week – perhaps on Monday, even though Tuesday is a holiday? Other option is midday on 25th.]
So who is available? Please just indicate that ASAP.
Also note there is a prior meeting of our ‘Water” NRW-IAM team members in Pretoria first thing tomorrow morning and I will be reporting from that. I will send you ALL further emails to ALL these meetings as both background and with available inputs – just for your advance notice.
Tim and Luke – you may appreciate having sight of these as deep background;
DRAFT completed Presentation titled – “The Potential of NRW”. It will anyway and illustratively probably be the primary input to approach Water Boards (like Amatole Water) and other Water Service Authorities. Our NRW-IAM team wants such leading ‘Candidates’ for the NRW-IAM WRC Research Proposal. For example in this Regional example, I am targeting two in particular – Buffalo City Metro and Chris Hani District.

Regarding the 20th Sept, can we please shift that meeting from 1100 -1200 to 1200-1300? Please respond on email if that is still OK. If not then please call me directly to explore any other options.
Alan Wentzel is not available at all that day so he is no longer included for this date. I am still presuming that the rest here might be available if needed. I still hope that I might be bringing Peter and Stewart together and or meeting them individually before then.
Regarding the 16th, the trip to Tlokwe is secured for most of that day. Also late afternoon, there seems to be a possibility that I can have a tactical discussion with DWA – to confirm alignment, explore structural positions and greater ownership. Peter Copley seems available and we also meet today, especially in prep for that. I also expect Themba to be part of that discussion – the need for empowerment is as we know HUGE. The need for programming support requires that alignment. But their lack of funds is hugely problematic as what ownership is there ever without that? My / OUR?search for ownership and additional grant sources continues…… Eish…
Also for the above reasons, I am now making informal enquiries around TCTA (DWA’s national implementing agency…..)
