Hi,

I expect that most or many of you here might have the opportunity to be attending / visiting IMESA 2013.  If not – perhaps you might want to pass this on as well to those colleagues of yours who are attending.  Or other intervening opportunities might be possible and or arranged in future.  Please note the email below.

I am collaborating with Ilifa in seeking to establish “business-unusual” projects.  It might be considerably easier if a Water Research Commission research grant is approved.  Here is a hotlink to access that: The WRC Project Proposal (without graphics)  I checked yesterday and a final answer is now expected by early December.  However in mature and organized municipalities, we are also fairly confident that even without we can potentially offer and secure bridging finance.  This is based on appropriate arrangements based on actual Water Demand Management  visibility (an effective ‘water balance’), feasibility, accountability and possible performance.  In other words if municipalities are interested and committed, we might be able to partner with yourselves to help technical departments (and their municipalities) help themselves.  Once that kind of “value chain” can be ‘unlocked and assured’, it is entirely feasible to continue and sustain further internal strengthening and capacity building processes.  That should be attractive to anyone wanting to make their jobs a little easier and more rewarding.

Does this interest you and or your municipality?

If yes – please make a point of visiting the Ilifa Stand number 75b at the IMESA Exhibition.

Should you have particular prior queries and or evn information that you want to channel to Ilifa, you can send those to in...@ilifa.biz,

Regards,

Nigel Lowe
