Brave Dame Essay Follow-up

Just a few comments in follow-up to my essay. I said this on the GotM
message board already, but those messages disappear after a while.

I think that a lot of people are quick to jump to the conclusion that
Usagi/ SM is a one-dimensional character. Someone who doesn't want to
be a hero and you may not want to be a hero for you. So what if she's
clumsy, cries at times, and is a reluctant hero? There's so much more
to her than that. And it's the depth to her character that lured me in
and made me like her.

I'd also like to see how many fourteen year olds would react in her
place. It's one thing to complain about her; but be realistic. Not
everyone wants to be a superhero. And even if they have some desire to
be a hero, they're not necessarily going to be good at it right from
the beginning.

So, anyone have any thoughts on the essay or these comments of mine
here? Don't be afraid to discuss. I didn't make this group just so I
could talk; but so we can all discuss things related to SM and the SM
Snipits site. Discussion of other anime/ manga is okay, but try to
keep it to things you think will actually appeal to people who also
like Sailor Moon.
