I have returned home from vacation and plan to start work again this
weekend. I looked at the db code a bit again, and am close to saying
we should just refractor it completely using mysqli or pod. I don't
like pod nearly as much as just the natural mysql syntax for a
probably little gain.

I will be working on the profiler this weekend and will take a look at
the actual work for the db code.

We need to think of a simple ui for the roles and perms as well. I
think the current one is a little too confusing for what we are
doing.

I'm also just back from my o/s trip. Will spend a day or so settling
back in and then get to work. Probably be the weekend before I get to
sailfish again and I'll continue to finalize the vars and mail areas I
was working on.

Wonder if we need to review/refactor privileges at all, and perhaps
strip or split the roles module before looking at the UI?

Hope you had a good vacation :)

Probably so.  I just don't want the roles to get in the way of development.  Seems like it could be a lot simpler than it is right now.
