Code review request: support for multi-GPU binary simulations

Hi everyone,

I've just opened a pull request in our GitHub repository:

https://github.com/sailfish-team/sailfish/pull/7

and would appreciate it if somebody could review the code.

The pull request contains:
- changes to port the old binary fluid classes to the new framework
supporting multi-GPU simulations,
- fixes in the code handling periodic boundary conditions,
- a new way of profiling simulations.

There might still be some opportunities to optimize this code -- so
far I have only been testing it for correctness.

After this code is merged into the multigpu branch, we will be very
close to deprecating the old Sailfish codebase. The main remaining
tasks will be to port the single phase Shan-Chen model and the free
surface model, as well as to fix the on-line visualization module.
